So Music Tech is going well. There are a lot of things that I've learned in such a short time already like what different mics do, even though I sometimes can't remember which ones are which. Or how to set an EQ for the band and even mixes a track.
I haven't found to much challenging. It's all pretty straight forward once it's explained the first time. At the beginning of the course I didn't have a clue what mics were even called, but now I know both what their called and why their called that. Another thing i find challenging would be giving the band that "right" sound. It's hard but I like doing it alot!
What has been easy in the class? Almost everything, like I said before it's all pretty straight forward. I'd have to say the easiest task to do is either plugging the mics into the snake or setting the gains for all of the mics in the band.
All around, Music Tech is a really enjoyable class. I get to look forward in the morning to coming into the band room and just hanging out with my classmates while listening to the sweet music they make! It's alot better than having to wake up and think, "Great! Another English class I can sleep in." Music Tech is definetly not like that at all. It's fun and you learn alot. Hey there is something you don't find much in school!
One thing that I hate about this course. That just burns me up, is how you go to set a gain or plug something in, and the volume is turned way up! You know that screeching sound you hear when you scratch a chalk board? Imagine that times twenty. It's terrible, I've learned the hard way to keep the volume turned down when doing that kind of stuff. Oh boy does it hurt the ears.
To finish this post off, I'd like to see alot of things in this course, but not so much that it gets confusing and complicated. Things such as getting into more detail on setting EQ's, or setting the mix board so that every little things sounds perfect. That would be nice, I think I'm going to have to start experimenting!
